Velormo was not originally meant to be a travel platform. At first, it was supposed to be a sock brand.I was inspired by an entrepreneur I saw on social media, so I spent nearly a year trying to build that business. Despite all the time and effort, I made very little progress. Eventually, I realized that I had been chasing a trend rather than pursuing something I was genuinely passionate about. Instead of giving up, I decided to start over.I began researching different industries and looking for real problems that needed solutions. It wasn't easy. Almost every idea I came across already existed, which left me asking myself: How can I create something that stands out? How can I make a product that truly helps people?As time went on, I became frustrated and gradually lost interest in building a physical product. I took a short break, but I never gave up on my dream of becoming an entrepreneur.Around that time, my parents encouraged me to try learning programming. Their dream was for me to become a computer engineer, but my own vision was different, I wanted to build businesses that solve real problems. Still, I was curious about programming. I often wondered, "What do programmers actually do? Are they like hackers?" That curiosity motivated me to start learning.I began with Python, which many people recommended as a beginner-friendly language. Through tutorials, practice, and small projects, I created simple text-based games. I also used Artificial Intelligence as a learning tool. AI didn't replace my learning,it helped me understand concepts, solve problems, and continue improving.

After Python, I moved on to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. HTML and CSS were relatively easy to learn, while JavaScript challenged me to think more deeply about programming logic. As I continued learning, I became fascinated by how technology entrepreneurs had built platforms that improved people's lives while creating successful businesses. I realized that software could become a powerful way to solve problems at scale.Once again, I searched for ideas. I brainstormed countless concepts, but none of them ever became reality because I kept chasing perfection. I had plenty of ideas, but I wasn't taking action.Then one ordinary day, everything changed.I woke up and sat at my small workspace, determined to find a problem worth solving. After hours of thinking, I couldn't come up with anything and was ready to give up for the day. While getting ready and still thinking, a single word suddenly came to my mind: "Travel".I asked myself, "What if I built something around travel?"I remembered how much I enjoyed discovering beautiful places, especially hidden destinations close to home. I also realized how difficult it could be to find reliable travel information without searching across multiple websites and apps.At that moment, everything became clear.I rushed back to my room and immediately began brainstorming ideas, designing interfaces, defining goals, and planning features. I didn't waste time. I worked relentlessly because, for the first time, I truly believed in what I was building.That was the beginning of Velormo.Originally, I wanted Velormo to be a mobile application. However, as a solo founder, I decided to build it as a web platform/app first. Using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Firebase, I transformed a website template into a platform by redesigning it, adding new features, improving the user experience, and making it simple enough for anyone to use.I also want to be transparent about my development process. Artificial Intelligence played an important role in building Velormo. I used AI to help debug errors, improve programming logic, understand difficult concepts, and overcome technical challenges. However, every feature, goal, decision, and vision behind Velormo came from my own ideas. AI was my assistant and not my replacement.As development continued, my room became my office. It was where I spent countless days and nights learning, building, fixing bugs, and improving the platform one step at a time. I committed myself to becoming more disciplined and consistent. I stopped making excuses. Even when progress felt slow, I continued moving forward.Velormo represents much more than a travel platform.It represents curiosity, resilience, continuous learning, and the belief that one meaningful idea combined with consistent action,can grow into something that helps people around the world.
